1. Access data and hosting

You can visit our website without providing personal information. Each time you access a website, the web server automatically stores a so-called server log file. Hosting

Our service providers are located in and/or use servers located in countries outside of the EU and EEA. There is no adequacy decision by the European Commission for these countries. Our collaboration with them is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission.

2. Data processing for the purposes of contact and customer communication

Contact

We collect personal data when you provide it to us voluntarily through contacting us (for instance by entering it into a contact form or providing it via e-mail). Mandatory fields are marked as such, since in these cases we require this data to process your contact inquiry. If the data is not provided, we will not be able to contact you. The data that is collected is stated on the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process your inquiry in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 clause 1 lit. b GDPR.

After your contact inquiry has been fully processed, your data will be restricted against further processing and deleted after the tax and commercial law retention periods in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 clause 1 lit. c GDPR, unless you expressly consent to the further use of your data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 clause 1 lit. a GDPR, or we reserve the right to further process data as permitted by law, and as we inform you in this declaration.

3. Cookies and other technologies

3.1 General information

We use so-called cookies on some of our pages to make a visit to our website more attractive, and to facilitate the use of certain functions. Cookies are small text files which are saved automatically on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, after you close your browser (called session cookies). 3.2 Usercentrics Consent Management platform

We use Usercentrics on our website to inform you about cookies and the other technologies we use on the website, as well as to obtain, manage, and document your consent to the processing of your personal data by these technologies, if this is required. This is necessary in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 clause 1 lit. c GDPR to fulfil our legal obligations pursuant to Art. 7 para. 1 GDPR, which indicate that we are required to obtain your consent to process your personal data. Usercentrics is a service of Usercentrics GmbH, Rosental 4, 80331 München, Germany, which processes your data on our behalf.

After you submit your cookie declaration on our website, the Usercentrics web server will save your anonymised IP address, the date and time of your declaration, browser information, the URL from which the declaration was sent, information on your consent behaviour, and a random, anonymous key. In addition, a cookie will be saved which contains information on your consent behaviour and the key. Your data will be deleted after twelve months, unless you expressly consent to the further use of your data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 clause 1 lit. a GDPR, or we reserve the right to further process data as permitted by law, and as we inform you in this declaration.

4. Use of cookies and other technologies for web analytics and advertising purposes

If you have granted your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 clause 1 lit. a GDPR, we use the following cookies and other technologies from third-party providers on our website. The data collected in this context will be deleted after the purpose for which we used the respective technology no longer applies, and after we end its use. 5. Social media

5.1 Social plugins from Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest

We use social buttons from social networks on our website. These are embedded into the page only as HTML links, and when you access our website no connection is completed to the servers of the respective providers. If you click one of the buttons, the website of the respective social network will open in a new browser window. You can press the Like or Share button there, for instance.

5.2 Our Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest pages

If you have provided your consent to the respective social media operator in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 clause 1 lit. a GDPR, when you visit our pages on the social media sites indicated above, your data will be automatically collected and saved for marketing and advertising purposes, and used to create pseudonymous usage profiles. These can be used, for instance, to display advertisements on or outside of the platforms that likely match up with your interests. Cookies are generally used for this purpose. Data processing related to your visit to a Facebook fan page is carried out on the basis of an agreement between joint controllers in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. The information on your use of our Instagram page which is collected automatically by Facebook Ireland is generally transmitted to a server of Facebook, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA and stored there. The information collected automatically by Google regarding your use of our YouTube page is generally transmitted to a server belonging to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and stored there. Pinterest is a service of Pinterest Europe Ltd., Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Pinterest”). The information collected automatically by Pinterest regarding your use of our Pinterest page is generally transmitted to a server belonging to Pinterest Inc., 505 Brannan St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, and stored there. Right to object
